Your beer deserves more than a production slot.
Scale your beer without sacrificing quality, control, or communication. Castle Island partners with established breweries and beer brands to bring existing recipes to production scale.

We compete on communication.
Our contract clients always know what’s happening with their beer, and we work to make sure there are no surprises. The modern beer market is rapidly changing and incredibly demanding. Our team is accessible and ready to help.
We offer large-scale capacity with small brewery ethos.
Our team has worked at breweries of all sizes, and we understand what small brewers are up against. We are here to assist you every step of the way with scaling up your brand.
We compete on service.
Brewing your beer right is one thing, but it’s nothing if you’re not getting the support you need. Our team prides itself on quick responsiveness, a solution-oriented approach, and a philosophy of being supportive and easy to work with.
We treat your brand like it’s our own.
We know how much trust it takes to put your brand in someone else’s hands. That’s why we make sure we treat it with the same care and attention you would, and ensure every drop of beer comes out exactly as expected.
Our contract brewing program is built for existing beer brands with established recipes and brewing knowledge. Here’s where we can help.
A good fit
You have the beer and the brewing knowledge. You need a partner to produce it.
- Breweries that need more capacity Your demand is outgrowing what you can produce in-house.
- Established brands ready to scale You have an existing recipe and proven demand, and need additional production support.
- Contract and gypsy brewers You bring the recipes and brewing experience, even if you don’t have a facility of your own.
Outside our scope
Our program focuses on producing existing recipes rather than developing new products.
- First-recipe development Creating a new beer from scratch or developing your first product.
- Experimental R&D batches Test brewing products that have yet to be brought to market.
- Brand development Creating a brand or product concept to take into production.

How our process works
Timing
Plan on approximately 10–12 weeks from first conversation to first packaged batch. Recipe review and pricing typically take 2–6 weeks, and production generally books 6–8 weeks out. We’ll discuss timing based on your recipe, ingredient availability, and our schedule.
Ingredient sourcing
Bring your own ingredients or let us handle sourcing. Most clients use our supplier relationships to simplify logistics and take advantage of purchasing efficiencies.
Quality control
Our in-house lab monitors gravity, dissolved oxygen, and carbonation throughout production. Yeast management and precision pitching help keep your beer consistent from batch to batch.
Flexible production
No annual minimums, exclusivity clauses, or long-term supply commitments. Run a single 30-barrel batch or plan an annual schedule. We meet monthly to adjust production as demand changes, without penalties when forecasted volume shifts.
Brewing & cellaring
Our 30-barrel brewhouse and 25 fermenters support 30- and 60-barrel batches. A Rolec DH-90 handles cold-side additions under pressure, while our Alfa-Laval centrifuge helps dial in appearance, from brilliant to hazy.
Packaging
Choose 12 oz, 16 oz, or 19.2 oz cans with low pallet minimums and standard 4-pack or 6-pack PakTech handles. We also package in owned or leased kegs, with keg cleaning available for an additional fee.
Shipping & coordination
We coordinate with you and your distributors to get your beer ready for shipment from Norwood. We also handle regulatory reporting, COLAs, formulas, and excise tax remittance so you can focus on growing your brand.
